DST faces class action over profit-sharing plan

A former employee at DST Systems Inc. filed a class-action lawsuit against the Kansas City company for breaching its fiduciary duty related to its employee retirement plan.

Stephanie Ostrander, who worked at DST from 1991 to 2016, filed the suit Thursday in federal court in Kansas City on behalf of all employees at the company who participate in its 401(k) profit-sharing plan. A strong team of attorneys will represent the plaintiffs: John KlamannAndrew Schermerhorn and Paul Anderson of The Klamann Law Firm PC in Kansas City; Ted Kapke and Mike Fleming of Kapke & Willerth LLC in Lee’s Summit; William Carr and Bryan White of White Graham Buckley & Carr LLC in Independence; and Ken McClain of Humphrey Farrington & McClain PC in Independence.
